We help finance teams reconcile faster, cleaner, and with more confidence
Cointab builds reconciliation automation software for teams that need to match high-volume financial and operational data across sales, payments, marketplaces, banks, books, and partner reports.
Our story started with payments
Before building Cointab's reconciliation platform, our team built and operated a peer-to-peer payments app that served over a million registered users.
While running that payments business, we faced a problem that many finance and operations teams know very well: reconciliation was painful.
Data came from different systems. Reports did not always match. Transactions had to be compared across internal records, payment partners, banks, and operational systems. Excel helped at small scale, but as volume and complexity increased, manual reconciliation became slow, fragile, and difficult to audit.
That experience led us to build Cointab's reconciliation software.
What started as a solution to our own reconciliation problem has now evolved into a flexible platform for finance teams that need to automate recurring reconciliation workflows.
Reconciliation should not depend on fragile spreadsheets
Finance teams often spend hours every week or month comparing files, fixing formulas, checking unmatched items, and preparing reports for review.
But reconciliation is not just a spreadsheet task. It is a critical finance process.
It affects:
- Payments
- Settlements
- Refunds
- Vendor and customer balances
- Bank records
- Marketplace payouts
- Books and audit readiness
- Month-end close
We built Cointab to make reconciliation structured, reusable, and easier to review.
Instead of rebuilding the same Excel logic every period, teams can create a workflow once, run it repeatedly, review exceptions clearly, and download audit-ready reports.
Cointab is a reconciliation automation platform
Today, Cointab helps finance teams automate reconciliations across many workflows, including:
- Payment gateway reconciliation
- Marketplace reconciliation
- Bank statement vs books reconciliation
- COD partner reconciliation
- Vendor reconciliation
- Customer reconciliation
- eCommerce reconciliation
- ERP / books reconciliation
- Custom internal vs external data reconciliation
Cointab supports both popular reconciliations and custom reconciliations.
Popular reconciliations help users start faster with ready-made workflows for common reports and partners.
Custom reconciliations help teams build workflows for their own reports, columns, matching logic, supporting data, and business rules.
Built for real finance workflows
Reusable reconciliation setup
Create a reconciliation once and reuse it for future periods without rebuilding everything from scratch.
Side A / Side B data model
Compare internal records such as sales, books, ERP, or ledgers with external records such as PSP reports, marketplace settlements, bank statements, COD reports, vendor statements, and partner files.
Complex matching engine
Handle one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one, many-to-many, partial, net, and contra matching scenarios.
AI assistance
Use AI to create formulas, match difficult unstructured transactions, analyze exceptions, and suggest reasons or actions for open items.
Clear reports
Review fully matched, partially matched, unmatched, and skipped records in one place.
Data automation
Automate recurring data input, reconciliation runs, and output delivery through email, SFTP, or APIs.

Our product philosophy
Cointab is designed to be powerful enough for complex reconciliation and simple enough for finance users to operate.
Keep reconciliation transparent
Users should know what data was uploaded, what logic was applied, what matched, what did not match, and why exceptions remain open.
Make workflows reusable
Reconciliation should not be rebuilt every month. Once a workflow is configured, teams should be able to reuse it repeatedly.
Use AI carefully
AI should help with formulas, unstructured matching, and exception analysis, but reconciliation output should remain reviewable and audit-friendly.
Support real-world data
Reports are often messy, inconsistent, incomplete, or spread across multiple files. Cointab is built for practical finance data, not ideal demo data.
Keep finance users in control
The system should automate heavy work, but users should be able to review, filter, download, manually match, and audit the output.
Trusted by teams handling complex reconciliation
Cointab is used by finance and operations teams that reconcile high-volume, multi-source financial and operational data.
Cointab has supported reconciliation workflows across eCommerce, retail, education, travel, logistics, consumer brands, and finance operations.

What we believe
Finance work deserves better tools
Critical finance processes should not depend only on fragile spreadsheets and manual effort.
Accuracy matters
Reconciliation affects payments, books, settlements, audit, and trust. The product must be reliable and reviewable.
Simplicity matters
Finance users should not need technical knowledge to configure and run recurring reconciliations.
Customers should not repeat work
If the same reconciliation is done every period, the setup should be reusable and automatable.
AI should assist, not obscure
AI should make reconciliation easier, but results must remain transparent and auditable.
Support matters
Reconciliation workflows can be complex. Customers should feel supported while moving from manual processes to automation.
